Heather Renee’ Cline went to be with the Lord on December 21st, 2007 in Galveston, Texas after a long and courageous battle with heart disease. She was born May 28th, 1974 in Houston, Texas. Her strength and faith was an inspiration to all who knew and loved her. She was a heart transplant recipient and an advocate for organ donation, sharing her story with whomever would listen. She was a hair stylist and salon owner for many years until she became ill. Heather was preceded in death by her children’s father, Charles D. Cline, and her grandparents, James and Margaret Helton, of Willis, Texas and Aime and Yvonne Bourgeois of Mexico, Maine. She is survived by her children, Ashtin Leigh Ann Cline and Charles Wyatt Cline, both of Willis; parents, Philip and Tana Bourgeois of Willis, Texas; three sisters, Tammy Perry and husband Glen of Willis, Texas, Gale Bourgeois of Houston, Texas and Debbie Hales and husband Wesley of Shepherd, Texas; two brothers, Dale Bourgeois and wife Aiza of California and Philip Bourgeois and wife Bertha of Nevada; her special cousins who were more like sisters and brother, Racquel Vernon, Dody Dise, Kim Johnson, Sherry Cunningham and Trace Brooks; her close friend, Robbie Dennis; her precious aunts and uncles who have been so supportive with love, prayers, and encouragement, Dianne and Billy Shelton, Curtis and Debbie Helton, Bob and Vera Acrey, Barbara Huddleston, Don and Zella Robinson. Many wonderful nieces, nephews and friends also survive. Our family would like to express our gratitude and sincere thanks to the Nurses and staff of J7D at UTMB Galveston and to Heather’s heart transplant physician, Dr. Scott Lick, and his assistant, Karen Kislingbury. They loved us and treated us like family for the last five years of Heather’s life.
