Kenneth, I’m so sorry to hear of Helga’s death. My memories of her are from the clubhouse...always with the most pleasant smile on her face. She was happy every time we met, laughing over something silly at the time. Please accept my condolences and know I’ll be praying for you. Candy

To the Smith Family;

My thoughts and prayers are sent to you all . I spent a few yrs as family with you all and still consider you family. Unfortunately I was not able to meet Oma but feel that I know her through memories from you all. May God be with you all through this difficult time.

To The Smith Family,

It's always hard losing someone you love, and yet it brings out the best of memories. I remember how welcome I felt the minute I entered her home. She was a warm and kind woman, and she will be missed.

And what a love story there is, full of thousands of memories, between two people who loved, laughed and cried through 62 years. That is truly something to be proud of and a legacy for others to glean from.

There's a little bit of her residing in all of you. You will see her in one person's smile, she will be in another's actions and you'll hear her words repeated by so many so often. Every time that happens she lives on inside your hearts.

So, as you celebrate her life and tell the stories, you will be in our prayers. May the Lord bless you and keep you in His tender loving care.

Smith Family,
Helga and Kenneth and the rest of the "Frontier Lakes" crew were like other grandparents to us Evans'/Roten kids growing up. Helga taught my son to crochet and they would sit for hours doing that. My best childhood memories are from my summers spent with my grandparents in Willis and Helga is always a part of those memories. My sincerest condolences. Love a prayers to the entire family!

Tanta Helga. Such a wonderful and unique lady. I loved all the times we spent at her home and trying to grasp her native language. She was so patient trying to teach me. She was a loving and talented person who touched everyone around her. I hope she has found peace from the pain. Sending all my love to the wonderful men she raised and adored. To uncle Kenneth, my deepest sympathy. The love you two shared was so very visible and beautiful. I pray for comfort to you. Love you all, Lori
