Hugh Vernon Miles

Hugh served in the United States Army, carrying forward a steady sense of courage and duty, and he was known as a man who worked hard and gave of himself faithfully.

He was married to Barbara Ann Miles, who preceded him in death. Hugh was also preceded in death by his son, James Bass, and his parents, Milton E. Miles and Frances Louise Tullis Miles.

Hugh is survived by his children, Kelly Young and husband Richard, Johnny Miles, Norman Miles, Frances Hickmon and husband Willis, Hughlene Plymale and husband John; and his cousin, Richard Tullis. Numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren also survive.

In his personal time, Hugh loved bowling and was apart of the American Legion post 618-Willis, Texas. Through the years, he remained deeply cherished by those who knew him, and his absence will be felt by all who held him close.
