Jackie’s life was deeply rooted in his love for his family and friends. His unwavering devotion to those closest to him was a defining part of who he was. He cherished every moment spent with loved ones and extended that same warmth and loyalty to his friends.
He is survived by his beloved wife of nearly fifty years, Renee Fowler West; son, Zachary West and his fiancée Marissa Camp; daughters, Sunny Christiansen and her husband Trevor; Jesse Wright and her husband Mark. He is also survived by his treasured grandchildren, McKenna and Macy West; Harlee, Ryder, and Levi Christiansen; Erik, Rylee and Eli Wright. Jackie also leaves behind his brother, Carl Lin West; mother-in-law, Nancy Fowler and brothers-in-law, Starley and Scott Fowler, His Legacy continues through numerous nieces, nephews and cousins who were touched by his presence.
Jackie was preceded by his mother, Zetta Fae Kendrick; father, Johnny Eldridge West; his dad, Eli J. Kendrick; father-in-law, Gene Fowler; brothers, Coy, Johnny, and Curtis West; and sister, Mae Kelley.
Those who knew Jackie will remember him as someone whose heart was as big as Texas itself- Steadfast in love for family and generous in friendship. May the memory of how he loved bring comfort to all who knew him.
There will be a graveside service for Jackie on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at 10:30 AM in Bethel Cemetery in Montgomery, Texas.
