James Bowers

Jim was born in LaPorte, Indiana, on March 19, 1946. He was married to Betty Capel on April 12, 2008, and they lived out the rest of his life in Montgomery, Texas.

Jim proudly served his country for 20 years in the Air Force and then extended his career working for Lockheed Martin and Bell Helicopter. He enjoyed spending time with his wife Betty and his family. They spent a lot of time traveling around enjoying the scenery of the lake and God’s nature, as he had a passion for travel and seeing new things. He loved music, dressing up (even for Halloween), watching the lake birds, and long drives in the country. He was a friend to all he met. He cared deeply for his friends and family, and he always let us know how much he loved us.

Jim was preceded in death by members of his immediate family including his Father - Ervin Richard Bowers; his Mother - Dorothy Jane Bowers Gress, and his Son - Marc Richard Bowers.

He is survived by his wife Betty, his daughter Dawn Warren, his sisters Janis Ryan and Beverly Mayr, and his grandson Christian Bowers.
