James Roderick Meadows

He served in the United States Navy as a radio operator and after being honorably discharged, he started a career with Southwestern Bell. James was honestly a jack-of-all-trades and could do it all. His joy was helping people, whither it was giving someone a big tip or offering a helping hand. He was humble, tender hearted, thought provoking, and truly loved our Lord Jesus. There is no doubt, James is singing beautiful praises in the presence of our sweet Jesus! The Lord blessed him with a beautiful voice and boy, did he love share it with his family, friends, or peers on the job or anyone!

James is survived by his daughter Elisa Meadows, son James Meadows, Jr. and wife Adelina and their three children, sister Joyce Hargrove and husband Rollin, brother Phillip Wayne Meadows and wife Wanda, and best friend Cindy Oatman and husband Steve. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Wilson Meadows, Sr.

Graveside services will be held at Houston National Cemetery on Friday, July 14, 2023 at 12:30 p.m.
