Jane Preston was born in Lake Charles, Louisiana on October 23, 1963, the youngest of five beloved siblings and daughter to Stu and Stella Coleman. From early childhood her love of laughter and her open, generous heart characterized her. A deep thinker and sensitive soul, she always sought genuine connections with others and had an uncanny ability to comprehend and internalize the feelings of others. Although she had a brilliant mind and, in fact, a PhD in Psychology, she was unfailingly humble and quick to minimize any personal accomplishments. Her daily life reflected the fact that her greatest joy was found in Jesus and in loving others. She devoted much of her life to raising and homeschooling her kids, and she and her husband Dave never ceased to astound others with their love and commitment to each other. For Jane, the beauty of life was in the simple moments of reading her Bible, sharing a family meal, laughing with friends over coffee, sharing in the burdens of others, admiring the sunset or arrangement of clouds in the sky, and listening to a favorite song. Although free from the suffering and pain of this life, she will be missed immeasurably by her family and the countless friends and people whose lives she touched in her 62 years. Her legacy will carry on through her three children and five grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life for Jane Preston will be held on Saturday, December 13th, 2025 at 11:00 am at Faith Bible Church: 5505 Research Forest Drive, The Woodlands TX 77381.
