Janice “Sue” Medford, 73, of Spring, Texas passed away on Monday, May 11, 2020. She was born the youngest of three girls on March 8, 1947 to Cletus and Esther Pearl Sanders in Houston, Texas. She went to Jesse H. Jones High School and graduated in 1965. She was a member of the Houston Spinarettes Twirling Team.

Sue met Randy at age 13 and they were instantly high school sweethearts. They married in 1967 and were inseparable until Randy passed away on January 10, 2015. Randy and Sue were married for nearly 50 years. They both loved dancing, fishing, and music.

Sue worked for Texaco for many years and soon expanded her customer service career with GTE/Verizon Wireless where she worked for over 20 years.

She was a beautiful soul inside and out who always put others before herself. She loved dogs; she loved to cook and was always ready to welcome you in for a meal or a visit with open arms. Like her husband, she never met a stranger and she would always be the first to give you the benefit of the doubt. Sue would always be in your corner, always be your advocate, and always gave the best advice with an open heart and an open mind. She was the sweetest person and was always ready for a good laugh. Above all these qualities, she was a wonderful and good Momma who loved the Lord and counted every day as a blessing. She was one who loved her family, friends, and neighbors unconditionally. She is now with her husband whom she missed deeply.

Sue is survived by her two children, Clinton Andrew Medford and Deanna Kay Medford, both of Spring, Texas. One granddaughter, Coral Anne Medford, sister Ann King, numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and a host of friends are also left to cherish her memory. Her parents, her sister Kay Melvin and her husband, the love of her life, Randy Medford precede her in death.

A visitation for Janice “Sue” Medford will be held Friday, May 15, 2020 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Metcalf Funeral Directors, 1801 E White Oak Terrace, Conroe, Texas. Sue was kind and thoughtful. She was a good friend and neighbor for 40 years. I really miss our morning visits, sitting on my patio drinking coffee. She would text, “Are you outside?”, then walk across the street to my house. Sometimes talk was serious, sometimes funny in our visits. She had a great laugh and I’ll really miss that too. And oh how she loved and cared about her family. Sue and Randy together forever now. Rest In Peace, Sweet Friend.

We love both of you so much, dear cousins.
Your parents were wonderful people and now are wonderful guardian angels over you.

Randy, Sue, Clint, and Dee have been wonderful neighbors, but are more like family. We have enjoyed many stories and laughs sitting in their garage. I could talk to Sue about anything. She was a wealth of advice and comfort when needed. We love her and she will be greatly missed.

May time heal the sadness that you feel with the loss of your Mother. During these tough times, know that you are in our thoughts and prayer.
