Jeannette was born on July 12, 1939, in Kennard, Texas, in the home of her parents, Curtis and Wylie Vickers. She spent her childhood in Crockett before moving to Willis, Texas, where she graduated from Willis High School. During her senior year, she was honored to serve as the 1957 Homecoming Queen.
For 32 years, Jeannette faithfully served as a bus driver for Spring ISD. More than simply transporting students, she touched countless lives with her kindness, compassion, patience, and genuine love for the children entrusted to her care. She took great pride in her work and was a familiar, caring presence for generations of families.
Above all else, Jeannette cherished her family. She was a devoted mother to Gina and Gary, a proud Nana to her grandchildren and to many of their friends who lovingly considered her their own, a beloved sister, and a treasured friend. Her warm heart, unwavering faith, generous spirit, and infectious smile will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Jeannette was preceded in death by her parents, Curtis and Wylie Vickers; her sisters, Jerry Murmer, Patsy Levan, and Mary Lee Burden; and her brothers, John Vickers, Smith Allen Vickers, and Charles Vickers.
She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Gina Malouf (Randy); her son, Gary Coleman (Melissa); her grandchildren, Matthew Malouf (Kelly), Megan Crofton (Paul), Shane Coleman (Tara), and Jack Coleman; and her cherished great-grandchildren, Seth Crofton, Easton Malouf, Beau Malouf, and Reagan Crofton. She is also survived by her sister, Cynthia Jo Foster, as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Benchmark Hospice for the compassionate care and comfort they provided to our mother. They also wish to thank Brother Garrett Bowman for sharing today's message and for faithfully serving as mom’s pastor.
Though our hearts are heavy with loss, we rejoice in knowing that mom is now in the presence of her Savior. Her legacy of faith, love, kindness, and selfless service will live on through the family she adored and the many lives she touched.
Visitation will be held at Cashner Funeral Home, 801 Teas Road, Conroe, TX 77303, on July 24, 2026, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am, followed by a Funeral Service at the same location from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. A Committal Service will take place at Garden Park Cemetery from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
