Jerry Currie, beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away on Saturday, November 20, 2021 surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Barbara Currie of Montgomery, Texas; 2 daughters, Lisa Currie of Montgomery, Texas, Donna Langston and husband Scott of Weatherford, Texas. Four grandchildren, Misty Hogle and husband, Aaron, Sarah Chance and husband Josh, John Langston and wife Katherine and Caroline Langston. 2 great-grandchildren, Hailey and Dillon Hogle. Sister, Doris Jackson and brother, Willard Currie.

He is preceded in death by his sisters Mildred Currie Jackson, Darlene Wilson and brother, Talmadge Currie.

Jerry was born in Houston, Texas on December 10, 1936. He worked as a machinist for 50+ years. When he retired, he took great pride in building wood swings, rockers and chests. He loved gardening, plants, animals and spending time outdoors.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 10-11 a.m. followed by a service at 11 a.m. at Metcalf Funeral Home in Conroe, Texas. Interment following at Raven Hill Cemetery, Oakhurst, Texas at 1:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to River Pointe Baptist Church in Conroe, Texas.
