

Jerry grew up in the Walnut Hill, Illinois area. He started his career with Superior Oil in Crossville, Illinois and transferred to Conroe, Texas with Superior in 1969. After leaving the oilfield industry he owned and operated a mechanics garage in Conroe, was a Houston Post distributor, and owned a local antique shop and refinishing business with his wife Melba.
Jerry loved his family and his Church. His special interests in life were racing cars, bowling, and antiques.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Melba Miller Edmundson. He is also survived by his son Leland (wife Iris) Edmundson, daughter Pam (husband Walter) Plagens; grandchildren James (wife Brandi) Stennis, Leah (husband Tyson) Sheth, and Adam (wife Trisha) Edmundson; four great-grandchildren Zane Stennis, Gavin Edmundson, Phoebe Sheth and Maya Sheth.
He is preceded in death by his parents Donald R. Edmundson and Nellie O. (Ray) Edmundson and his brothers Raymond E. Edmundson and Donald W. Edmundson.
No services are planned at this time. A celebration of life will be announced by the family at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to the American Heart Association.
