Jerry was preceded in death by his loving wife, Vicki, with whom he shared more than four decades of marriage.
He is survived by his children, Jennifer Wade and Jerry L. Preston, Jr.; six grandchildren, Felicia Hart, J.R. Wade, Kaylynn Tubbs, Amber Read, Rachel Preston, and Tyler Preston; eleven great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.
Jerry proudly served his country in the United States Army as an intelligence analyst. During his military service, he and his family were stationed in Tampa, Florida, before relocating to Germany, where they lived for several years.
In 1989, Jerry relocated to Orlando, Florida, where he began a career with Walt Disney World. He dedicated 25 years of service before retiring. After retirement, Jerry and Vicki returned to their home state of Texas, where they enjoyed their retirement years together.
Jerry will be remembered for his straightforward honesty and his unique sense of humor. He spoke his mind, lived life on his own terms, and left behind memories that those who knew him will always remember. His family is grateful for the time they shared with him and will cherish those memories forever.
