Jerry Lee Sides

Jerry Lee Sides of Montgomery, Texas, passed away on July 6, 2026, at the age of 86, after a brief illness. Jerry worked for Texaco for more than 30 years as a Research Chemist in Houston. After retiring, and shortly after moving, in 1999, to Montgomery, Texas, he enjoyed fishing, friends, and family. Jerry was a member of Conroe Baptist Church. He volunteered at Gospel Lake, helping kids learn to fish.

He is survived by his bride of 66 years, Sylvia Sides and three sons: David Sides and wife Myrna Roy, Charles Sides and wife Deborah, James Sides and wife Heather; eight grandchildren: Sarah “Sadie” Sides, Jillian Sides, Rachel Sides, Ben Sides, Austin Sides and wife Rebecca. Jackie Williams, Joshua Sides, and Jacob Sides. Two great grandchildren Amelia and Dominic, and his youngest brother Robert “Rex” Sides and wife Katherine, and sister-in-law Bonnie Sides. He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Sides, mother, Minnie Eunice Sides, Brothers Alan Sides and wife Frankie and Dale Sides.

Visitation will be held at Cashner Funeral Home, 801 Teas Road, Conroe, TX 77303, on July 25, 2026, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am, followed by the Funeral Service at the same location from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.

A Committal Service will take place at Garden Park Cemetery, 801 Teas Rd, Conroe, TX 77303, on July 25, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
