The year was 1984: I was 33 back then. This was the best gift I could have received and have kept it all these years!

DECEMBER EIGHTEENTH 1950

"This is the day we remember well,
About this time each year.
My mother arrived for the big event,
I'm certainly glad she was here!

In haste the presents were dutifully wrapped,
And placed underneath the tree,
In the hope that Santa was coming,
And bringing a baby to me!

You see, we had two wonderful boys,
The finest in the world,
And they wanted a sister, not the fussy kind,
But one a man could rely on.
Who wouldn't tell, if he said "hell",
Or some other four letter word.

I wouldn't want to bore you,
So I'll end this story here,
We all got what we wanted,
At our favorite time of year.
A little girl all pink and cute,
She certainly was a dear,
And we never have regretted
What we asked for in that year!"

My Mom
She taught us right from wrong, responsibility, and independence all with love and support. At times we had our ups and downs, but I could not have been blessed with anyone as good as my Mom. She left us sometime ago and is finally at peace.

I will miss our long talks on the bed Mom.... I will miss you.

Jo was a dear sister-in-law to me and we had lots of good times together, water-skiing, traveling, playing cards. Lots of good memories through the years. We will miss her deeply. Stay strong, John.

Love to John & Family,
