Joanne Marie Dell’Osso, loving Aunt, Sister, and Friend went home to be with the Lord on August 28, 2019. Joanne was born on June 19, 1944 in Galveston, Texas to Mario and Dina Dell’Osso. In her early years she attended and graduated from Ursuline Academy. She graduated from Loyola University in New Orleans in 1966. After graduation she taught elementary school for 2 years in New Orleans. Joanne moved to Houston, Texas in 1968 where she made life-long friendships with so many. She was known for her extreme loyalty and had a long and fulfilling career in the financial industry until her retirement in 2015. She enjoyed traveling, holidays, parties, get togethers, casino trips, and most of all being with her family and friends. Joanne was a die-hard sports fan. She was always rooting for her beloved Texans, Rockets, and Astros. She never missed a game! She was the first to call you on your birthday, first to send you a card, and the first one to offer help when you were in need. Joanne is survived by sisters, Laurie May of Houston, Texas, Jenny Gaido of Conroe, Texas; brother, Mario and wife Judy Dell’Osso of Crockett, Texas. Joanne was fondly known most of all as “Jo”, “Aunt Jo”, or “AJ”. She is also survived by niece, Maureen and husband Ed Bondurant of Arnold, Maryland; nephews, Robert and wife Julie May of Dallas, Texas, Richard and wife Kay Gaido, of Willis, Texas, Mike and wife Belen May of Houston, Texas, John and wife Cyndi Gaido of Santa Fe, Texas, David and wife Kate Dell’Osso of Austin, Texas, John and wife Naabia Dell’Osso of Washington, DC. She had many great nieces and nephews that she so proudly doted on, Chloe, Jackson, Isabella, Claire, Elise, Gabriella, Grant and Piper. We will always remember her kindness, huge heart, and she will be dearly missed by all. There will be a celebration of life held on Friday, September 27, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church located at 109 Frazier Street in Conroe, Texas 77301.
