John is survived by his wife Karen Marie Pyles, sons Michael Jacob Pyles and wife Tarin, John Christopher Adams and Brittany, daughters Katelyn Marie Weymouth and husband Jon, Jessica Marie Matthews and husband Mark, sisters, Debbie Hatfield and Mona Dunn; Grandchildren Connor Matthews, Arcturus, Ripley and Marceline Pyles, Jaxon, Lillith and Trinity Weymouth, Greyson Adams and Payton and numerous cousins, friends and family.
John loved the outdoors and the country way of life. He loved his animals, especially his rottweilers he had through the years. He loved working with wildlife rehabilitation and numerous raccoons, squirrels and opossums were raised and released back to the wild. He always wanted to learn more about and work with the rehabilitation of raptors. The American Bald Eagle was his favorite bird and he really enjoyed his time in Alaska where they numerously abound.
John enjoyed cooking and made the best fall off the bone briskets and baby back ribs ever. He enjoyed his vegetable garden and we had one every year, sharing the fruits of his labor with friends and family. John enjoyed fishing and did so every chance he got. We had fun fishing at my parent’s small pond and had many trips to Lake Catherine Arkansas where he swore there were no fish in that lake. They never seemed to bite when we were there. We may not have had the best of fishing luck there, but we always had a good time. John enjoyed the Renaissance Festival and we always tried to go at least once every year.
John worked many various jobs over his lifetime. He worked as an electrician; he worked in car sales and auto repair for ARO Car Sales. He worked for Montgomery County in various positions from driving dump trucks to attaining his peace officer status. John worked as a Reserve Peace officer for Montgomery County Pct. 2 Constable’s Office and also later at Magnolia P.D. He truly enjoyed law enforcement and his time as a peace officer. John once worked at a fishing cannery while living in Homer, Alaska, which is a place he wanted to move back to upon our retirement. In his later years he worked at the Conroe Walmart Tire & Lube center and later at Automatic LP Gas prior to his retirement from the work force in 2010.
John Pyles was loved and is truly missed.
