John Joseph Wisnoski, 91, of Conroe, Texas was called home on Monday, March 7, 2022, with family by his bedside. John Joseph Wisnoski was born on June 2, 1930 in Houston, Texas to John T Wisnoski and Edwina Lipinski Wisnoski.
John is preceded in death by his wife, Vida Wisnoski whom he has now been reunited. Married in 1952, their love remained strong for over 65 years. He was a member of the Sacred Hearth Catholic Church and 4th degree life member of the Knights of Columbus Council #6456.
Upon graduating from the University of Houston, John’s part time machine shop position with Shell Deer Park took off with John retiring after 35 years as lead pipe line and tank inspector. John’s knowledge became valuable across the industry and led to numerous opportunities to consult and travel the US for another 15 plus years with his beloved wife joining him. Travel became their passion, together with their faith inspired pilgrimages. Journeys included trips to The Holy Land, Turkey, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Poland, and multiple trips to Medjugorje for which John held a special adoration for the messages of Mary, Queen of Peace.
Through devoted faith and endless love, they were blessed with son, John Allan (Jan both deceased); son, Paul Joseph (Dawn); daughter, Erin Elizabeth Bridgeman (Ronnie); daughter, Theresa Anne McDowell (Jim); son, Bryan Thomas (Jessica). The story continues with grandchildren and great-grandchildren; Wendy Reed, Mandi Mara, Jason Bridgeman, Brock McDowell, Ashley Miller, Brett McDowell, Katy Wisnoski, John Bridgeman, Shannon Meyer, Kayla Wisnoski, Sean Wisnoski, Nathan Pollock, Claire Mara, Cody Bridgeman, Trace Mara, Alyssa Wisnoski, Lily Reed, Astrid Bangoy, Harrison McDowell, Kai Bangoy, Pierce McDowell.
John loved to celebrate life. Family came first for him as a loving spouse and devoted father, he inspired his faith to everyone. His infectious smile along with his blue eyes would lite up a room. John “Dad” “PePaw” you will remain in our hearts forever.
Visitation will be held Monday, March 14, 2022, at 9:00 am followed by a Rosary at 9:30 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 109 N Frazier St. Conroe TX 77301. The funeral mass will begin at 10:00 am.
A graveside ceremony will be held at 2:30 pm at Resurrection Garden 1310 N. Main (Hwy 35), Pearland TX 77581.
