Johnny Lock Johnson

After serving in the Army, Johnny was a horse trader, truck driver, and master plumber. In retirement he found his best business selling golf carts. While he enjoyed buying and selling T-buckets, golf carts proved to be more profitable. Johnny had a big heart, and his teasing, which often hit close to home, was a defining characteristic of his personality. He loved fishing with his boys and watching westerns. He didn’t ask for much; just a brief visit to say hello filled his heart. Until his final breath, he always asked for Linda. Even when his mind was clouded by dementia, she was the one constant that he never failed to remember.

Johnny was preceded in death by his sisters, Lois Schultz, Betty Jo Grubbs (JP), Patsy Wilkinson, his brothers, Jimmy Johnson, Marion Edward Johnson, and Donnie Bill Johnson and his sister-in-law’s Sherry Lynn Hunter, Audrey Hunter and Jeanette Hunter.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Linda Johnson; his three children, Carol, Cheryl, and Johnny, their spouses, Gary Garrison, Charles Willis, and Laura Johnson; his brother, Ronnie Gail Johnson, sister-in-law’s Vickie Johnson, Trudy Johnson, Martha Johnson, Lois Williams, and Janice Hunter; his brother-in-law’s Jimmy Hunter, Larry Hunter, Raymond Hunter and Gary Hunter.

Johnny was a proud grandfather to nine grandchildren: Shanna Johnson, Angela Willis, Nikki Rae Garrison, Two Willis, Randy Garrison, Bryce Willis, Travis Garrison, Hunter Johnson, and Tanner Johnson. And ten great-grandchildren: Chloe, Hannah, Austin, Riley, Emmy, Caroline, Cassidy, Nevaeh, Kendra, and Kyleigh, as well as two great-great-grandchildren, Delilah and Olive.

Pallbearers will be Two Willis, Bryce Willis, Randy Garrison, Travis Garrison, Hunter Johnson, Tanner Johnson, and Austin Harrison.

Johnny or POPs, to those he was most proud of, will be deeply missed.

Visitation will be held at Cashner Funeral Home, 801 Teas Road, Conroe, TX 77303, US, on May 8, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, followed by the Funeral Service at Cashner Funeral Home, 801 Teas Road, Conroe, TX 77303, US, on May 8, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm, and Graveside at Garden Park Cemetery , 801 Teas Rd, Conroe, TX 77303, US, on May 8, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 3:30 pm.
