Jordan Mikael Bolinger

Jordan Mikael Bolinger passed away unexpectedly on 6 January 2020 at the age of 31. Jordan was born on the 20th of May, 1988 in Pueblo, Colorado and departed this life in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Jordan graduated from Miami-Yoder High School east of Colorado Springs in 2006. He enjoyed and lettered in Matchwits, Forensics team, football and track during high school and loved working on cars and farming with his father and paternal grandfather. He was voted the Most Inspirational Player on his football team his senior year and was noted by everyone who knew him for his wit, fun loving nature, compassion and desire to help others.

He went on to college after high school studying Law Enforcement Forensics and found his passion when he began studying to become a chef. Jordan worked and lived in various locations in Colorado until he was diagnosed with Kidney failure in 2012. His brother Andrew was able to give him a kidney in 2014 and the transplant provided Jordan with several more years of quality life to share with family and friends. Jordan and his brothers were inseparable in their youth. There are many stories of the antics they were involved in which are now such cherished memories. Jordan was a wonderful big brother to his little sisters. He not only protected them but he encouraged them to be their best. He loved to play video and RPG games with his family members and friends online and in person.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Ella Rose Clark of Houston, Texas, his paternal grandparents Richard and Evelyn Bolinger of Lamar, Colorado, his aunt Jan Bolinger of Sugar City, Colorado and a beloved great-aunt Betty Scriven of Lamar, Colorado.

He is survived by his parents Wesley and Kimberly Bolinger of Conroe, Texas and a large number of siblings – Wade (Nicole) Bolinger of Bakersfield, California, Deering Bolinger of Cortez, Colorado, Robert (Shannon) of Iowa – currently in Kuwait, Barbara (Marjorie) Elwood of Denver, Evelyn (Sev) Bolinger of Denver, Julia (Oscar) Gallegos of Colorado Springs, Sean (Lisa) Bolinger of Limon, Andrew (Jontera) Bolinger of Houston, Texas, Bryce Bolinger of Fort Hood, Texas, Joseph Bolinger of Colorado Springs, Thomas Bolinger of Colorado Springs, Tyler Bolinger of Rexburg, Idaho, Emma Bolinger of Colorado Springs, Aimee (Demetrius) Miramontes of Colorado Springs, Holly (Robert) Townsend of Joint Base Lewis-McCord, Washington, Michael (Stephanie) Moore of Colorado Springs, and Candice (Bobby) Velpuri of Colorado Springs.

He is also survived by his maternal Grandparents Bobby (Ruth) Clark of Willis, Texas. He also had ten nieces – Rayven, Iyahna, Paris, Nora, Audrey, Elise, Phoebe, Isabelle, Melody and Adriana. He had three nephews – Will, Warick and Walker. He had four very close high school friends who were like brothers to him – Conor and Cade Pesicka, Corey Clevenger and Quinton Alexander – all of Colorado Springs.

He also has 3 cousins, 5 uncles, 5 aunts, 2 great uncles, 3 great aunts and several more relatives, friends and acquaintances who will miss his smile and humor.

Visitation will be held Saturday, January 18, 2020 from 3:00pm to 5:00pm at Cashner Funeral Home.

There will be no public service in Colorado. He will be buried in the family cemetery in Moscow, Texas. Pallbearers for the burial service will be Sean, Andrew, Bryce and Tyler Bolinger. Honorary pallbearers include all of his other brothers and his close high school friends.

Memorial contributions can be sent to the Fresenius Kidney Care Center in Lamar, Colorado (108 Lee Ave, Lamar, Co, 81052).
