

Joseph Franklin Foster Jr. was born in Austin, Texas on March 4, 1939 and passed away June 21, 2017 at the age of 78 in The Woodlands, Texas. He spent a majority of his professional career as a supervisor of warehousing and distribution for several companies in the Houston area. In 1980 he pursued his desire to own his own company, and purchased a local paint store in Conroe, Texas, later changing the name to The Conroe Decorating Center. Joe would eventually return to the warehousing and distribution field, where he ended his career as the National Warehouse Manager for Symons Corporation.
Joe was a past President of the Greater Bellaire Jaycees, a member of the Conroe Evening Lions Club, and a Baseball Coach for the Conroe Area Youth Baseball League. He was an avid fisherman and hunter.
Joe served his country in the Army Reserve from 1961-1967. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Franklin Foster Sr. and Allyne Kroll Foster; brother, Richard John Foster; and beloved son, Bradley Franklin Foster. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Shirley Ann Foster of Conroe, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Matthew Miller Foster and his wife Stephanie of Cypress, Texas; and two grandchildren, Haden Bradley Foster and Whitney Reese Foster. Visitation will be at Cashner Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 from 9:30-10:30am with a Celebration of Life service at 10:30am with Pastor Merle Blado officiating.
