Any visit with Aunt Judy was a gift, she was a perfect host and always ready for our visit. I’m sure she spent days before our arrival making all sorts of goodies. (Of course, any leftovers went into my suitcase.) The best times were sitting in the screened-in back porch – black coffee, family stories, Texas gossip and watching for cardinals. After this there would be some kind of adventure – wine tasting with zebras and donkeys or fixing garden tools. Mexican food and margaritas for dinner, then onto the Hallmark movies.
Thanks Aunt Judy for all the memories. Rest in peace with Nathan at your side.

Visiting Family, all the old places, and some new as well as all the family graves with Aunt Judy giving history.

Sweet Aunt Judy... how fortunate are All who have known You.  Everywhere you were, you shined your light, always thinking of others and showing through your actions, God's love.
You remembered every occasion and those handwritten notes with the $2.00 Bill were treasured, as are the beautiful, crocheted blankets, dish towels, dish rags and quilts.  
You were all about family and friends, weather in New Mexico or Texas, you kept connections and understood history, and tradition was important to you.  You were a regular walker and in your last years did Yoga. 
You had your own career in banking and chose to give of your talents without losing site of your family.  You were always a sharp dresser, exuding style and grace.
You knew the best Mexican Food places with a good Margarita. 
You had some health challenges along the way, though didn't let that stop you from living.  I enjoyed our last trip together, shopping, lunch with family and joy riding.  
I was fortunate to be at an age that I traveled with you, Mother and Mamaw a lot growing up.  Traveling and shopping and visiting Family.  Luckily, you, Collete and I made it to Lindale in Feb 
You made your home open for all, whether it be passing through, escaping a hurricane or coming to stay a while and enjoy the view, play games, visit and have some laughs and sometimes a good cry, always be a good pot roast ready. It was only in your last year that you learned more technology and had fun with the texts and emojis. I was so proud of you for embracing your independence after Uncle Dean passed and doing the things that you were always capable of, you just had not had to.  You had set your mind in 2023 to accomplish and that you did.  A Methodist all your life, at FUMC Huntsville you were forming more connections there.  Your neighbors were like family and rooted for you as you found your way after 60
plus years of marriage.She just wanted us all to be happy.Thank you for being in my life, I love you.

Bob and I so loved Judy’s visit a couple of years ago.  We went to Lindale where she grew up, and I enjoyed hearing her and Bob talk about their childhood. 
Judy and I loved some of the same authors and had good discussions about the books we’d both read. 
She was a special lady who will be greatly missed. I hope my mansion is close to hers.
