Kenneth Edward Blair Sr., a beloved, hard-working, loyal, and resilient man, passed away at the age of 68 on February 15, 2026. Born on July 2, 1957, in Port Arthur, Texas, Kenneth lived a life full of dedication to his family,friends, community, and country.
Kenneth's early life was spent in Texas, where he attended Conroe High School. He furthered his education at Texas A&M fire school and joined the Lake Conroe Forest Volunteer Fire Department. His career was distinguished by his service in the United States Army, where he participated in Desert Storm and Desert Shield. After his military service, Kenneth pursued a career as a construction project manager.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Ramona Blair, his brother-in-law, Floyd Elbert Dees, and his great-grandson, Kal-El Wilder.
He is survived by his son, Kenneth Blair Jr., and wife Michelle Blair, along with their children and grandchildren. His family includes granddaughters Skylar Yarber and husband Tyler Yarber, with great-grandsons Gatlin and Roan, and Jordan Blair, granddaughter and fiancée Zach Sala, with great-grandson Atticus Sala. Blaine Blair, grandson, and great-grandson Issac Blair, and granddaughter Lilah Blair, daughter, Spring (Keith) Lancaster, and her family, including grandsons Kolton Wilder, Colt Lancaster, husband Bailey, Drakon Wilder with great-granddaughter Ella, Chloe Wilder, and Dalton Lancaster, stepson Jason Duncan and wife Chelsey Duncan, with grandson Carter Duncan, stepson Eric Duncan with grandson Jay ‘Quan Brown, and stepdaughter Christie Duncan, granddaughters Zoe Cruff, Jorja Cruff, Abigail Cruff, and great-granddaughters Aria and Oakley Anderson, Kenneth's partner, Michelle S. Powers, along with her children, J. Austin Powers and wife Emily N. Powers, Ian L. Powers and wife Emily E. Powers, and daughter Ali M Powers, sisters, Jeanette Dees and Barbara Vaurigaud and husband Peter. Numerous other relatives and a host of friends also survive.
Kenneth enjoyed hobbies such as hunting, fishing, and raising cattle. He was an active member of the Mims Baptist Church, VFW-Post 4709, and the Conroe Masonic Lodge-748. He also served as a past patron of Conroe 710 OES.
A visitation will be held at Cashner Funeral Home, located at 801 Teas Road, Conroe, TX, on February 26, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. The funeral service will take place at Mims Baptist Church, 1609 Porter Rd, Conroe, TX, on February 27, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. A graveside service will follow at Brookside Cemetery, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX, from 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm.
Kenneth Edward Blair Sr. will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his legacy of love, service, and commitment will endure in the hearts of his family and friends.
