

Lee Roy Vann Jr. was born in Fouke, Arkansas on July 8, 1938 and passed away September 5, 2016 at the age of 78 after a valiant battle with cancer. He was retired from the US Air Force as a Staff Sgt and received a bronze star during his service in Vietnam. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and travelling and was an avid reader of western novels. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee Roy Sr. and Laura Cutshall Vann; wife, Aurelia Anne Vann and sister, Mary Janice Speers. He is survived by his daughters, Aurelia Weems and husband Michael and Colleen Nelson and husband Cliff; sons, Lee Roy Vann III, Barry Dale Vann and Jeffrey Linn Vann; brothers, P. Ardell Vann and wife Mary and Allen G. Vann and wife Betty; grandchildren: Christopher Cash and wife Allison, T.J. Weems, Devin Nelson, Dustin Nelson and Sydnee Nelson; great grandchild, McKenzie Cash, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. A Memorial Celebration of Life service is scheduled for Saturday, September 10, 2016 in the Cashner Colonial Chapel at 3PM.
