Lillian Marie Simmons "Meemaw", 70, of Madisonville, Texas went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 4, 2022 surrounded by her loved ones. Born on September 17, 1951 in Bellville, Texas to John and Helen Pawlowski.
Lillian was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She made a loving home at the "Rockin S Ranch,” where she enjoyed raising chickens, feeding catfish, and watching her grandchildren hunt and fish. She was passionate about gardening and canning her homegrown vegetables, which brought her much joy and numerous memories made with grandchildren. Most days she could be found riding the UTV with Peepaw or a grandchild by her side. Of course their Chocolate Lab, Diesel, often tagged along as well. She enjoyed cooking and would faithfully watch Brenda Gantt cooking shows. Lillian loved to travel with Buddy and would spend hours just driving with no real destination in mind. Antiquing became a favorite pastime as she enjoyed meeting new people and strolling through the aisles with Buddy. She'd always seem to find her way to Louisiana or Oklahoma where she would make deposits in the penny slot machines. Lillian cherished the company of her friends who she considered her family. Meemaw was steadfast in her faith throughout her life and we take comfort in knowing she is in the arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Survived by her Beloved Husband of 46 years, George Simmons, Sr. "Buddy, Peepaw", Son, George Simmons, Jr. and wife, Kimberly, Daughters, Michelle Lapaglia and husband, Shane and Loretta Machann and husband, Al. Grandchildren Matthew and Ciara, Andrew and Jillian, Katlyn, Cameron, Taylor, Hunter, Baylee and Lilly. Great-Grandchildren Wyatt and Kayce. Brother, Donald Pawlowski and wife Karen, Sisters, Connie Holub and Husband Louis and Renee Reed and husband Carl. Sister-in-laws, Pat, Sandra, Wanda and Doris.
