Loma Gayle James

Visitation will be held at Cashner Funeral Home on Thursday, October 24, 2024 from 5pm to 7pm. The celebration of life service will be held at Cashner Funeral Home on Friday, October 25, 2024, at 10am and a reception will follow.

Gayle was born in Lockney, Texas to parents Charlie and Irene Holt. Gayle had two siblings- Charles Travis Holt and Doris (Holt) Dudley both who have preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Richard James, her grandson, Jason James DesChamps and her granddaughter Vanessa Fomby.

After Gayle graduated Sam Houston High school in 1958, she married Robert Richard James in 1959. Gayle was a lifelong member of the Nazarene church and had a heart for helping people. She enjoyed a full career as a realtor and owner of Cornerstone Homes. Her hobbies included painting, gardening, and loving on her grandkids.

She is survived by two children, Charles M. James and wife Cheryl, Rhonda DesChamps and husband Joel, two stepdaughter’s Margaret Saravo and husband Larry, LouAnn Vaughn and husband Rick. She had 10 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. She was greatly loved and will be dearly missed.
