Lynda Merrill, beloved wife of Billy Merrill, entered eternal rest Sunday, March 2,2025. Lynda was born June 29th,1951 in Conroe, Texas to Quincy “Red” and Lucille Ann Kingsbury. From birth, Lynda showed determination and strength, being born premature in a time where most children born too soon would not survive, she managed to thrive under the watchful eye of her loving parents and large extended family. A lifelong resident of Willis, Texas, Lynda graduated from Willis High School and then worked for the school district for a number of years before marrying Billy in 1984. As an avid dog lover, she enjoyed taking care of her numerous pets over the years, was an active member of the First Methodist Church of Willis, and worked closely alongside her husband ministering to local nursing home residents and traveling extensively around the country on their Honda Goldwing when not accompanied by his two children or their parents. She also enjoyed baking wonderful treats for those she loved. However, perhaps her greatest joy was caring for her husband, which she did wholeheartedly and lovingly for nearly 40 years, helping manage his business while maintaining a loving home. She was not only a wonderful wife, but a true partner in all aspects of his life.
