Lynette Ann Lecky, 55, was born May 23, 1971, in Stella, Missouri, and passed away September 30, 2026. From the beginning, Lynette’s life carried the steady marks of devotion and grit—an honest, kind-hearted presence who worked hard, loved deeply, and showed up with loyalty, wisdom, and a sense of humor that could brighten even the heaviest day. She was, in every season of her life, deeply cherished and truly beloved.
Lynette was born to Daniel Leroy White and Marlene White. After moving to New Mexico with her siblings—Logan, Lyndon, Loretta, and Lana—Lynette faced profound loss early when her father, Leroy White, passed away when she was 4 years old. When Lynette was 9, her mother remarried John DePuy, and the family moved to a ranch in Floyd, New Mexico. There, Lynette’s brave, resilient spirit found room to run—through school, sports, and the arena, where her faithful dedication and competitive heart shone brightly.
In Floyd, Lynette attended Floyd Elementary School and later graduated as Valedictorian from Floyd High School. She was a member of the Floyd State Championship Volleyball Team and the Floyd State Championship Basketball Team, and she loved being a cheerleader throughout high school. She was also the Curry County Fair Queen and runner-up for Miss Teen New Mexico, and she was a member of the National Honor Society. Her drive and discipline carried forward to Eastern New Mexico University, where she earned an academic and athletic scholarship, played volleyball, and attained her bachelor’s degree.
Horses were a meaningful part of Lynette’s early life, and her determination brought well-earned recognition. She was very active showing horses for the American Quarter Horse Association and the local 4-H association, winning numerous horse show awards throughout school, including at the New Mexico State Fair 2-year-old Western Pleasure Futurity Horse on her horse named Socks. Whether in the classroom, on the court, or in the show ring, Lynette’s steady excellence reflected both hard work and heart.
Lynette met Tom Lecky playing sand volleyball in 1993. They dated from November 1994 to 1996, and they eloped in Las Vegas, NV on December 31, 1996. Together they built a life rooted in love, laughter, and unwavering commitment. They lived in Ahwatukee, Arizona, where Lynette worked as a pharmaceutical representative. On 1/02/2002, they welcomed Kate Lecky, and Lynette became a stay-at-home mom—the role she loved the most. In 2006, Tom and Lynette moved to The Woodlands, TX, and Grace Lecky was born 8/10/2007. Lynette stayed home for 14 years, pouring her generous spirit into her family and the home she was so proud to build with Tom.
When Lynette returned to work in pharmaceuticals, she did so with the same integrity and excellence that defined her in every role. Working for AstraZeneca, she was awarded the Circle of Excellence Award in 2025—an honor that reflected not only her ability, but also the honest, loyal, and inspiring way she carried herself.
Lynette’s love extended beyond her own home and into her community. During her time as a stay-at-home mom, she volunteered at her daughters’ school. She coached volleyball and basketball at Legacy School in The Woodlands, and later created a kid’s cooking class, teaching kids to cook on the weekends. In all of it, Lynette gave freely—generous with her time, her energy, and her steady encouragement.
She enjoyed running, riding horses, journaling, golf, and entertaining, but she loved being a mom the most. When she wasn’t working, she was either building a new house…if you know you know…or vacationing with her family. They loved trips to San Diego, Destin, Florida and Ocean Side—especially long walks on the beach together, the kind of simple joy Lynette treasured and made unforgettable.
In 2012, Lynette was diagnosed with esophageal cancer, and Dr. Swisher at MD Anderson treated her with a tri-modality treatment. She was cancer free for 13 years until the recent recurrence in 2025. Through it all, Lynette remained brave and resilient, meeting each day with dignity that was undeniable and inspirational. She always lived life to the fullest, remaining devoted to her family and true to her values. As her time drew near, her faith in God continued to grow even stronger. She would often say “God has this, He has a plan and I am trusting in Him.”
Lynette was also a gamer. If the game was on the line, you wanted Lynette in the game—or to get the ball. That fearless steadiness was part of her gift: she could be counted on, trusted, and relied upon, and she brought others along with her—uplifting, encouraging, and quietly wise.
Lynette was preceded in death by Daniel Leroy White, father; Marlene (Egan) DePuy, mother; John DePuy, stepfather; James Wilford Lecky, father-in-law; Deena White, sister-in-law; Marvin Bowman, father-in-law; and Mikey (precious dog).

A Celebration of Life will be held at Cashner Funeral Home, Cashner Colonial Hall, 801 Teas Road, Conroe, TX 77303, on October 24, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm. A livestream will be available at https://www.facebook.com/116724058352511.
Lynette’s legacy is one of love that stayed, strength that carried others, and a bright, humorous steadiness that made life better for the people lucky enough to know her. She was most proud of her family and the home she and Tom built—and that pride was well placed, because she built far more than a house. She built a life of devotion, generosity, and enduring joy.
