Malcolm David Drinkwater, 75, of Willis, passed away on October 30, 2024 in Conroe, Texas. Malcolm was born a twin on June 12, 1949 in Oxford, England. Malcolm attended Brize Norton County Primary School and Burford Grammar School, followed by time at Southall College after joining the Royal Navy.
Malcolm spent his working life pursuing his passion for aviation. He began his career at the age of 15 by joining the Fleet Air Arm of the Royal Navy, servicing Buccaneers on the aircraft carrier HMS Hermes. By the time he was 18 he had circled the globe, visiting Singapore, Malta, Gibraltar, Australia, the Americas, as well as numerous destinations.
Malcolm married at the age of 20 and was the father of two children. He and his family immigrated to Texas in 1984 in pursuit of his aviation career. His career culminated in the founding of both Aero Tech Aviation as well as Brit International Aviation, both of which serviced the Mitsubishi MU-2 as well as other light aircraft.
Malcolm is survived by his wife of 53 years, Jenny, his children, Julie and Daniel, his grandchildren, Ian, Audrey, Melody, and Olivia, as well as his twin brother, Graham. Malcolm was preceded in death by his parents, Cyril and Kathleen Drinkwater, and two of his brothers, Keith and Ian Drinkwater.
A celebration of Malcolm’s life will be held at 2pm on Sunday, November 10th at MW Aircraft Services, located at the Conroe North Houston Regional Airport, 10298 Carl Pickering Memorial Drive, Hangar 10, Conroe, TX 77303.
