Margie "Margaret" Gibson

Margie (Margaret) Gibson, a loving wife, mother and grandmother passed away on August 15, 2014. She was born August 13, 1944 in Glascow, KY. Margie was the much loved baby in a family of seven children. She moved to Indianapolis, IN as a young adult to be a nanny to a nephew. She later worked at RCA for many years. She moved with the love of her life, husband, Wayne Gibson and their children to Conroe, TX in the late 1970’s and became employee number 461 at Compaq Computers in Houston, TX. Margie worked at Compaq, later Hewlett Packard for 20 years, where she was highly effective and respected production supervisor. After Retiring, she spent time volunteering at a women’s shelter and continuing to work part time before becoming ill. Margie was a loving and strong spirited woman who never stepped away from a challenge. Her loving nature and determination live on in her children and grandchildren. Margie is preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Ruby Taylor and sister, Loreen Parsley. She is survived by her husband, Wayne Gibson, son, Tom Deveny and wife Gina, daughters, Tina Oestreich and husband Joerg and Lisa Surface and husband Scott, grandchildren, Julius Oestreich, Anna Oestreich, Shivonne Rogers, Jeremy Rachal, Michael Rachal, Stacy Durdin, great grandchildren, Reece Rachal, Hayley Rogers, Clinton Rogers, Colby Rogers, Paul Durdin, Matthew Durdin, Nathaniel Durdin, brothers, Larry Taylor, Luther Taylor and wife Lovie, Arley Taylor and wife Sandy and Leslie Taylor and wife Mary, sister, Helen Graven. Numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at 10:00am in Cashner Colonial Chapel, 801 Teas Road, Conroe, TX. 77303, with burial to follow at Houston National Cemetery at 12:30pm.
