Memorial services for Marla Beth Cates will be held Thursday, March 14, 2013 at 12:30pm in Cashner Colonial Chapel. Marla was born June 19, 1952 in Amarillo, Texas to Marlowe and Sarah Cates and passed away March 7, 2013 in Houston, Texas. Marla was an avid NASCAR fan. She was a loving daughter, sister and aunt and will be missed by her friends and family. Marla is preceded in death by her parents. Left behind to cherish her wonderful memory are her siblings, Sandra E. Timpson and husband Harold of Houston, TX, Donna Edwards and husband Bob of Pasadena, TX, Sue Scroggins of Pasadena, TX and Debbie Forman and husband Randall of Houston, TX. Numerous nieces, nephews and other loving extended family and friends also survive.
