Marshall Duane Cook, of Houston, Texas, passed away on Sunday, April 7th, at St. Luke's hospital in the Woodlands, TX, surrounded by his loved ones, following a courageous battle with cancer. Marshall was 63.
He was born on October 13th 1960, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to parents, Jim, and June Cook. He is survived by his son , Jeremy Cook, his daughter-in-law Tricia and his grandchildren, Jaden and Landon. He also leaves behind his brothers, Rusty and wife Pam, David and his wife Cyndi, and a sister, Nita Hisaw, and Jeremy’s mother, Marshall’s former wife and dear friend, Terry Delmas, as well as many other family members and countless close friends.
Marshall loved life and all that it had to offer, and he took advantage of every opportunity to have fun with his family and friends. He always greeted everyone with a smile and positive enthusiasm. Marshall loved his family, especially his grandchildren. A close second was his love for scuba diving. He traveled all over the world searching for the perfect spot, and he had some incredible stories to tell about those adventures. He also loved being a big brother to Tanya, the chimp.
Marshall was known for having a big heart and a generous hand. These two qualities were highlighted by his work with The Cadre, raising money for children’s charities in the Houston area.
Marshall worked for Marek Brothers in Houston for 25 years. He retired in 2021 and chose to move to D'Iberville, Mississippi, to spend time with Jeremy, Tricia, Jaden,and Landon.
Upon leaving this world, Marshall got an immediate angelic escort to meet his Mom and Dad at the gates of Heaven.
A funeral service for Marshall will be held Friday, April 12, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Cashner Funeral Home, 801 Teas Road, Conroe, Texas 77303. Following the funeral service will be a graveside service from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at Garden Park Cemetery, 801 Teas Rd, Conroe, TX 77303.
