Mary Janette Yohe Bubier, age 65, of Conroe, passed away on November 23, 2018 in Houston, Texas. Memorial services will be held 2PM, Tuesday, December 11th at Metcalf Funeral Home in Conroe, Texas. Mary Janette Yohe Bubier was born in Amarillo, Texas to Edward Anthony and Elizabeth Anne (Weeber) Yohe on April 6, 1953. Raised in a military family, living in Japan and various bases throughout the United States, she graduated from T. C. Williams High School in Alexandria, Virginia in 1971. She met her true love Craig Thane Bubier in New Orleans, Louisiana while hitchhiking with her friend Karen looking for red beans and rice during Mardi Gras in 1973. They were married in 1974. Returning to her birth state, Craig and Mary established SURVTECH Corporation and worked for 35 years surveying land in East and South Texas, her daughter and dear friend and co-owner Stephen Coe continuing that legacy with some very special co-workers whom she called family. A devoted Jehovah’s Witness and avid lover of all God’s creatures, Mary actively supported her local church and her favorite animal rescue organizations. She loved oil painting, making stained glass, and had a heavenly obsession of preserving Gods colorful flowers through photography. Mary Janette Bubier was preceded in death by her parents, Tony and Betty Yohe, beloved husband Craig Thane Bubier, and son in law Steven Adrian Bodak. She is survived by her brother James Russell Yohe, daughter Season Nicole (Bubier) Bodak, grandson Thane William Bodak, nephew Thomas Craig Bubier, granddaughters Guin and Zoe Bubier, and many nieces, nephews and sweet cousins.
Memorials may be given in honor of Mary Jan Bubier to: A SMART Rescue, P. O. Box 910, Spring, Texas 77383-0910, www.smartpetz.com. Even though Mary went into ICU on Thanksgiving Day, she prosed this list of thanks the week before, (we embellished it a bit) and it couldn’t be truer from our hearts as well…. “For this year I am thankful to be alive, grateful for the care that my wonderful daughter and grandson have given me and for Alondria Shantel Rodriguez-Jones, my sweet caregiver and her husband Claude Douglas Jones. This list would not be complete without mentioning Dr. Mark Joseph Hobeika, Dr. Constance M. Mobley, Dr. Ashish Saharia, and other doctors, RNs, PCAs, Techs, OT & PT, respiratory, x-ray techs, ladies of the kitchen all employed by Methodist Hospital of Houston. Lastly all, but not least in my heart, those who have sent love, wishes, cards, thoughts of healing and prayers on my behalf. I love you all and will be eternally THANKFUL to you, each and every one.”
