Michael Scott Whiddon was born in Bellaire, Texas on November 16, 1967, to Wesley and Ellie Whiddon. After his family moved to Conroe, Texas, he attended Conroe High School and graduated in 1986. He attended Howard Payne University in 1986 – 1988. He became interested in computers and worked as a computer instructor of a paralegal firm in Conroe. After accepting a job at a software company, he moved to Houston. During this time, he met his wife Patricia Lee Lane and married on June 26, 1993. He continued to work in the IT field and later accepted a job at 104 KRBE. While there he met many people who became his good friends. During this time, he and Patricia adopted their two sons, Walker and Marshall. Thus began some of the happiest years of his life—raising sons. After seven years at KRBE, Michael and Patricia started Xtra-Tech, an IT support company. It has been in business for 14 years. Michael loved to cook and was known for his briskets and smoked turkeys at Thanksgiving, Super Bowl and the Fourth of July. He won a few cook-offs with his smoked chicken and smoked shrimp. He taught Bible Study for seven years and the Lord used him to impact many lives. He went on a mission trip to Honduras and one to China. He always wanted to go back to China. His favorite vacation was cruising, and he liked to sit on the deck playing his ukulele. He loved his clients, he loved his friends, he loved his family and loved the Lord.
He is survived by his wife Patricia, sons Walker and Marshall, his parents Wesley and Ellie Whiddon, his sister Rebecca Whiddon Morris (husband Trey Morris) as well as nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He will be greatly missed
