Mike Sortor, age 42, of Conroe, Texas, passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2020. Mike was born December 31, 1977. Mike is survived by his wife, Suni and children, Haley, Emilee, Mason, Baylon, Thomas, Layne, Kayse; his parents, Wendy and Mike Koepke; brothers, Shawn Sortor, John and wife Amy Koepke and Matt and wife Beth Koepke; grandparents Retha and Richard Sortor. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Lesa Smith, brothers-in-law Matt and wife Katlyn Smith and Caleb and wife Alexis Smith. He was survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and some incredible friends.
Mike was the Sales Manager at Bison Profab in Magnolia for the past 7 years. He had an amazing Bison work family that he loved dearly.
Mike was witty, a hard worker and the most loyal friend. He was always the life of the party. He was a jokester and had a great sense of humor. He was an amazing cook and absolutely the king of the bar-b-que pit! Mike never met a stranger, everyone that knew him loved him. He was a true outdoorsman, whether it be fishing, hunting or hanging out with friends in the “driveway”. “Captain Mike” loved to sing and play the guitar.
All of his children were the pride of his life. He loved his kids and Suni with all his heart. His most treasured moments were when he was cooking for and spending time with Suni, the kids, family and friends.
He left us way too soon. He will be greatly missed by all that love him so very much.

Visitation Friday, July 17, 2020, 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Memorial Service on Saturday, July 18, 2020, at 10 a.m. at Cashner Funeral Home & Cemetery, 801 Teas Road, Conroe, Texas 77303. Due to COVID-19, there is an 80 person limit for visitation and the service. Masks are mandatory.
