

Milton Houston (Rebel) Russell, Jr. at the age of 60 passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2017 in Conroe, Texas. Rebel was born on June 17, 1957 in Albany, Georgia to Milton Houston Russell, Sr. and Rose Ella Ralston Russell.
Rebel began his career with the natural gas industry working as a meter ready with Moran Utilities. He moved from meter reader to a service man and within a short period of time then into the engineering department as a builder representative. This was the position he held until his long-term medical leave with Center Point Energy in 2016. His career spanned almost 40 years during which time he made many friends with employees and customers.
Rebel enjoyed playing golf, watching sports, and the Andy Griffith show. He liked nothing more than starting a fire in the pit and grilling a feast.
Rebel was predeceased by his parents, his brother-in-law, Joe Hanson, his sister-in-law, Denise Russell, and many friends. He is survived by his wife of almost 30 years, Scharlotte Hanson Russell. He is also survived by his children, daughter, Erica Streeter and husband, Jason and their children, Brianna and Seth of Gainesville TX; son, Chad Russell, daughter, Brittany Russell, and her fiancé, David Weeks, all of Conroe, TX
Also, surviving are his siblings, sisters, Judy Lindstrand and husband, Dennis of Camrose, Alberta, Canada; Edna Short, and husband, Hershel; Bonnie Stroud, and husband, George, Metsie Russell, and brother, Robert Russell, all of Conroe TX. His is also survived by nieces and great nephews.
