Oliver L. Goodlander, 91, of Panorama Village, Conroe, Texas, passed away on May 5, 2013. Visitation will be held at Cashner Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. Internment will take place at a later date in Black River Cemetery in Watertown, New York under the direction of Hart and Bruce Funeral Home. He was born on April 8, 1922 in Seymour, Indiana to Amy Bridges and Oliver L. Goodlander. He attended school in Black River and graduated from high school in 1940. Oliver attended Clarkson University for one year prior to enlisting in the Army Air Corps where he served as a pilot during World War II. After returning from the war he graduated as a Mechanical Engineer from Clarkson University in Potsdam, New York. He joined Texaco Oil Company in 1949 and completed 35 Years of service with company in several locations and various positions before retiring in 1983 from Lockport, Illinois as Assistant Plant Manager. Mr. Goodlander was preceded in death by his loving wife of 39 years Betty Fisk Goodlander. He is survived by his sons Terry and wife Nancy, Gary, Marc and wife Joyce; grandchildren Chris and wife Amber, Craig and wife Lisa, Elizabeth, Zachary, Amy and husband Jame, Ashlee, Brad and Corey; great-grandchildren Evelyn, Carter, Michael, Natalie, Carson and Noah; special friend Virginia Washburn and numerous nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
