

From there Pete entered the Air Force and served overseas in the Korean War. Upon returning stateside he became a railroad steamfitter in Missouri then moved to Los Angeles to become a plumber. His career progressed into Building Inspecting for Los Angeles then he moved to Northern California and continued in the same capacity there. He was later promoted to Building Official for the City of Burlingame and finished his distinguished tenure with them.
Pete was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion and the Moose Lodge. He had a passion for traveling and family. Obviously, he loves family for who else would marry a woman with six children!
He was survived by children Belinda Clinton, Ed Gee (Brenda), Morgan Lee, Naomi SL Yates (Carter), Nathan Lee, Lisa Torrey (John) and Brian Matthews (Nan). Grandchildren: Tammy Foster (Matt), Jeremiah Middleton, Joanna Kawai (Tamao), Lauren Uttecht (Chris), Shaina Clinton, Whitney Gee, Candace Torrey, Marcus Matthews and James Torrey. Great Grandchildren: Gavin Uttecht, Jasmine Uttecht, Keinen Kawai and Kamasi Kawai.
