She was born on October 8, 1951, in Waukegan, Illinois, to Russell & Martha Bills, but was raised in the Rio Grande Valley, which, even after moving away, always held a special place in her heart.
Pamela loved the coast, but was drawn to South Padre Island in particular. It was her retreat where she found solace and refuge. It was also her happy place where she spent time with her family and reconnected with her friends and classmates from Edinburg High School, Class of 1969. Pamela was a dedicated and devoted wife.
She and Jack spent many blissful years together. Their story was a lifetime of love, commitment, support, and caring. Their bond is unbreakable even in death.
She was also a proud mother of her two sons, Richard and Zachary. Pamela adored her boys and treasured her grandchildren.
Mrs. Shaw was preceded in death by her father, Russell Bills, and her mother, Martha Calhoun Bills.
She is survived by her husband, Jack Eugene Shaw of Montgomery; her sons, Richard Scurlock (Yvette) and Zachary Scurlock (Valerie) both from McAllen, Tx.; her brothers, Craig D. Bills and Mark “Buzzy” Bills; and her grandchildren, Avery Scurlock, Aiden Scurlock, Peyton Scurlock, and Cole Scurlock.
In lieu of flowers and for those wishing to make a contribution in her honor, please make donations to a charity of your choice.
