Patti was a kind, compassionate, creative, and deeply loving woman. She had a special heart for animals and for anyone who was hurting or struggling. Throughout her life she loved her dogs, Cindy Lou, Max, Tucker and Russell, many of her and the neighborhood cats, as well as finches, raccoons, and any other needy animal that crossed her path, and often taking in those who needed a little extra love and care.
Patti found joy in many things. She appreciated the beauty of nature and wildlife. She enjoyed cooking, coloring, gardening and plants, embroidery, and creating things with her hands. Her yard and home were always decorated for Easter, Christmas and Halloween! She worked at the Blossom Flower shop for twenty years (who provided flowers for this service), with her sweet boss and dear friend Mrs., Lou and other shops in Conroe, she was highly skilled in wicker and rattan repair, always finding ways to bring beauty or new life to something.
Patti also loved good old rock and roll. As a child, she enjoyed tap dancing at Linkletter Studios, and her creative and spirited nature stayed with her throughout her life.
Patti was preceded in death by her parents, Kathryn Margaret Patterson and Jack Quinten Patterson; her brother, Marvin Louis Schuster; her nephew, Kevin Schuster; and her husband, James Robert Hoffpauir.
She leaves behind her sister, Elizabeth Patterson; her daughter/niece, Charissa Nicole “Niki” Patterson; grandson James Robert Patterson Pearson, nephews Ryan Schmidt and his wife Lindsey, and children Kate, Linlee, Wade and Lainey, nephew Michael Schmidt; nephew Francis “Frank” Schuster and his family; Kevin's daughter, Natasha Ramsey; and the extended Hoffpauir, Brown, and Leal families, along with many friends and loved ones who will carry her memory forward.
Life presented Patti with many challenges, but those experiences helped shape her into a strong and compassionate woman. Patti leaves behind more than memories. She leaves behind the love she gave, the lives she touched, the animals she cared for, the beauty she created, and the stories that will continue to be told.
May she now fly high with the angels, free from the struggles of this life, resting in heavenly peace.
She was loved.
She will be deeply missed.
And she will always be remembered.
