Patty's life revolved around her family. She was a devoted wife, mama, grandma and great grandma. There is no denying the love she had for her family especially for the love of her life, Nelsey. She taught and showed her family what love, commitment, and compassion really is in all her daily actions. Her love and commitment expanded outside her family into everyone she met including all her family friends and all the friends she met through Master Gardening. Everyone who came to know her became family. If you ask her grandchildren, son-in-laws, husband, or her girls she was the greatest cook. Those lucky enough to attend a McGrath Party knows how welcoming and loving Patty was and they would agree the 4th of July will never be the same. Her passions included reading, growing flowers, gardening, crocheting, and crafting. Patty will be best remembered for all her warm hugs and kisses.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, Rosie O’Lague, Peggy Shepherd, and Major Easthagen, Jr. She leaves behind her loving husband of 54 years, Nelsey, daughters Sherry McGrath Rankins and husband Keith, Shannon DiMarzo and husband Anthony, grandchildren James Phillips, Ashley DiMarzo, Amanda Phillips, Brennen DiMarzo, Sara DiMarzo, and Emma Makowsky, great grandchildren William Marker, Piper Phillips, Anthony Marker, and Atlas Hudgins, siblings Michael Easthagen, Heidi Dolan, and Jeff Easthagen.
A visitation will be held at Cashner Funeral Home on Friday, September 17th from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life will be held on September 25th from 2:00 - 6:00 p.m. at Nelsey and Patty's house 15871 Kropik Rd, Conroe, TX 77306.
