Patricia Ann Summers, 83, was born on October 24, 1942, in Houston, and passed away on May 8, 2026. A resident of Montgomery, Texas, Patricia will be remembered as a cherished, kind-hearted presence whose steady compassion and resilience touched generations of family and friends. Her life reflected a faithful spirit and a generous way of caring for others—expressed not in grand display, but in the daily, hard-working devotion with which she met each season of life.
From an early age, Patricia found joy in simple pleasures and shared laughter—playing jacks, jumping rope, riding her bike, and enjoying time at the soda shop. She loved school, and her youthful days also included the music and community of square dancing, a fondness that echoed throughout her life in her enduring love of dancing and togetherness.
Patricia took pride in her work and approached it with diligence and reliability. She loved working at Sakowitz in downtown Houston, and later retired from Kroger, where she served as drug department manager. Her work ethic was matched by her steady kindness, and those who knew her understood that she brought care and conscientiousness to every responsibility entrusted to her.
Family was at the heart of Patricia’s life. She raised five children, giving of herself with a strength that was both quiet and enduring. Her legacy is carried forward in the love she poured into her home and the example she set through her steadfast faith and compassionate spirit. A devoted Christian, Patricia was a longtime member of Lakeside Bible Church in Montgomery, Texas, and a member of the April Sound Ladies Club Association, where her faithful presence and warm generosity were deeply valued.
Patricia also delighted in the joys of community and recreation. She was an Astros fan and treasured attending the World Series with her daughter, along with the excitement of the Little League World Series. As an adult, she enjoyed playing darts and softball, and she made happy memories vacationing on South Padre Island. She loved to watch birds—especially hummingbirds—and she enjoyed boating with her husband Don, moments that reflected her appreciation for life’s simple, beautiful gifts.
Patricia is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Summers, SR.; parents, Jim Justice and Dorothy Williams; son, Chris Salitros; grandchildren, Crystal Salitros Mackey, Mark Salitros and Corrina Garcia.
