

RegisCharles Novak passed away on July 11, 2011 in Conroe, Texas, leaving behind a loving wife, a devoted family and a wonderful legacy as a husband, father and role model. He was a devoted family man and an inspirational leader who worked his way up from a draftsman to become president of a large engineering firm.
Rege was born on January 14, 1935 in Uniontown, PA to Joseph and Mary Novak. He spent most of his young life in the Pittsburgh area, entering the engineering field as a draftsman at Auburn Engineering Company. Rege eventually joined Allstates Design and Development Company, moving to Houston in 1980. He retired in 1998 as the company’s president.
Rege was an avid golfer and sports fan, who adored his Pittsburgh Steelers and had recently become a strong supporter of the Houston Rockets and Houston Texans.
Rege is survived by his wife of 57 years, Shirley Novak; his children and their spouses, Gary and Kathy Novak, Susan and Robert McCracken and Ellen and Ronald Gunter; his mother Mary Novak; and his sister Patricia Kabo. Rege took great pride in his ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Novak.
A celebration of Regis’ life will be held Friday, July 15, 2011 at 10:00 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Frazier Street, Conroe, TX. Visitation will be Thursday, July 14, 2011 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Cashner Funeral Home, 801 Teas Road, Conroe, TX.
