Richard Alan Stohn had a heart bigger than he was. He was loved and respected among many. Richard held his friends, and above all, his family, tightly under his enormous wings. He was a protector! Richard gave people confidence, strength, motivation and friendship.

Know by his friends as "Richie", he was a humble man. Never boasting to others. He had traveled many paths and had a jaw-dropping story for each one. He wasn't proud of every path but he accepted his decisions in life claiming, "Never have regrets because at that particular point in time, you did exactly what you wanted."

Richie left this world too soon, but he left as a winner. Living his life as a fighter, fighting the daily trials and tribulations, he finally won in the end! He was a proud business owner of a boxing and fitness studio, Stohn Hard Fitness and Boxing, a wonderful son, brother, father, step-father, grand father, and a loving and cherished husband and friend. Richie will forever be missed but never forgotten.

In loving memory,

Richard Alan Stohn 1955-2013

Wow, its hard to believe that you are not here any longer and that Monday night I won't be in your 'fragrant' workout room!

I can never thank you enough for what you provided to me and my family in the way of support, health, motivation, friendship and even entertainment. I think you are truly one of the most interesting and honest people I have ever had the honor of knowing.

Our son, Christian, wanted to learn to box which led us to you. As a result of that humble beginning, you taught us all so much more than that. You have planted good seeds in us that will last a lifetime. You made all of us that spent time in your world better than we knew we could be...

That awkward young boy in the video is now a 6'1", 15 year old, soon-to-be United States Marine as a result of the time and attention you invested in him. As a Dad, I'll always be grateful for your contribution to his future and his character.

Know that you will be missed terribly... but never forgotten.

Godspeed my friend...

For anyone that had the pleasure of meeting Big Richie, you know he was a bright light who lit up a room when he entered. He had a personality larger than life and a heart to match. I owe Big Richie more than I could ever repay, he not only helped me heal physically after my surgery but emotionally. Richie would never let you give up, believed in you, and had such a special gift and love for what he did. I think about you every day you changed my life, left and imprint on my heart and will always be with me. Love you Big Richie!

Richie was a great friend to everyone who crossed his path. It didn't matter how long it had been since we last spoke we picked up where we left off like it was yesterday. He was a kind soul in a fierce body and he will be greatly missed. Love you. Richie
