Ricky Glenn Barnett, 62, of Conroe, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. He fought a very long, hard battle, but was called home to our Lord on June 21, 2018. He married the love of his life, Elizabeth, and referred to her as his “Angel”. He adored their daughter Brittany, and they shared a very special bond; she was his sports buddy, Jeopardy champion, and his “Tiny Dancer”. He loved life, and made the most of it even in his hardest days.

He was preceded in death by his mother, JoAnn Barnett.

Ricky is survived by his wife Elizabeth and daughter Brittany Barnett, father Alfred Barnett, sister Pamela Daniel, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and family members, as well as friends whose lives he invariably touched.

Ricky you were and are my hero.
You faced the adversity in your life head on and embraced life.
You fought from 2 years old until the day you went home.
You loved life, your family and friends. You loved to have fun, act silly and make people laugh.
I will miss your texts and your messages. I will miss hearing you call my name. And I will miss you always telling me “I love you!”
You fought a long hard battle and you won. Give mama and mammaw a kiss for me.
Until we meet again little brother...

Please know that you're in my thoughts and prayers. My sincerest condolences for an incredibly great loss. I'll never forget the trip we all took to the beach one summer. I remember a lot of singing along to Shania Twain.

I have known Ricky since high school. He was always such a sweet, great guy. We saw each other at reunions through the years, but thanks to Facebook we got to know each other better. We shared a love of sports and our beloved SS Camaros. I will miss him so very much. Love and prayers Elizabeth and Brittany.
