Rick was always ready to shake your hand and say Hello to yea. 
Met Rick about 2014 and hired him to build my dock and boat lift which was first class to say the least. 
He always took pride in his Company Lake Conroe Construction company and his employees 👍
Which I agreed on the Quality of the workmanship had some stairs added to my dock installed by Charlie they are first class like the dock 👊
RIP Rick you will be missed

We were always happy to see Rick Coulter come through our doors, usually early in the morning, usually bringing our entire staff breakfast, but always with a big smile on his face, cowboy hat on and ready for the day! 
Rick was in a league of his own, a true professional and a joy to work with. Rick will be deeply missed by everyone here at HBC because not only was he a loyal customer, he was also a good friend to us all. 
Rick we know you are up there looking down over your crew and we are blessed to have known you. Fly High Cowboy ! 

Met him about 7 years ago and we bonded immediately.  Used to ride with him on Saturday mornings when he would meet with customers to scope a project and make bid proposals.  Never the low bidder, the company still gets over 75% of the business it bids on.
Very strong work ethic.  Went to bed about sundown and was up in the middle of the night working again.
Smart Man. Devised many new methods to remove and construct bulkhead on the lake which made it safer for the crews and quicker project completion.  Very much an innovator. 
Built his own barges enabling the company to work areas not possible with other companies.
Always utilizing the newest equipment to build the best bulkhead and decks on the lake today.
Told his crews he loved and appreciated them many times, almost daily.  I read an article in the Wall Street Journal that said over 76% of people interviewed had quit a job because they felt under appreciated.  Not the case with Cowboy.
Created a place for the crews to gather and relax at the end of the day.  “you’ve got to surround yourself with good people”, he often said.  He knew their families and weekend gatherings occurred often.
Compassion for all people he met on a daily basis, regardless of their station in life.  Loved to “interview” everyone he met; from the hostess at a restaurant to the owner of an establishment.  Cowboy was a friend to all.
Cowboy ensured the continuation of the jobs in Lake Conroe Construction by naming his successors to manage the office, perform the bidding and customer relations as well as manage the crews.  Many of the personnel have been with the company over a decade.  Personnel at Tito’s Vodka in San Antonio may have reason to get nervous though.
Possessing a sharp mind, Cowboy remembered names, addresses and phone numbers always.  I drank and sat with him most days, even on weekends and I can tell you , Cowboy’s memory was as strong as his work ethic, right up until the end.  He will remain with me forever.

I’ve known Rick for at least twenty five years. He was a smart, generous and kind man. We had many good times at the homes that he and Vickey shared. Rick always made sure you were enjoying yourself.  He was a giving soul and would do anything for you or anyone in need. He always amazed me with his work ethic. He was up early and made the most of each day. That was evident in his business and his home. One thing about Rick was he loved to work. He wanted everything to be done well. He was so smart and creative in all that he did. I don’t know of many things he couldn’t do or at least try. He will be missed by so many, many people. That indicates his impact on the people in his life. He was loved and cared about and that includes myself, as well. Rest In Peace, Rick. 

It’s hard to believe Rick is no longer with us. Although too young, I do feel like he went out on his terms. Rick had a tough exterior, however he always had a special place for dogs. When I had Ava, my Mom and Rick had to take my little 7lb Maltese bc she was jealous of Ava. This big Cowboy loved little Sophie and it was always so funny to see him cuddling with this little bitty dog. He always had a special place in his heart for Ava as well. Whether it was the green tractor that he got her that she “had to have”, hanging with her outside, riding the tractor, supporting whatever fundraiser she had going on or my favorite was when she was in her dress up phase, he built her a state of the art dress up masterpiece. That thing probably weighed 200lbs-of course made from good wood and no one had anything like it. Yes he was a man of few words, but he was a hard worker, could build anything and build it good; his love was shown thru his work and craftsmanship and willingness to help others. I am grateful for this and that Ava had a piece of his heart and will always be thankful for the love he showed her. RIP

Rick was my dear friend and I have many wonderful memories. He was a true American and a true Texan inside and out. He was a flag waving Trump supporter and we enjoyed watching the Trump rally's. Knew the exact words to describe Biden. He had his Tito's and I had red wine. He loved and respected his crew and  he enjoyed cooking for them. He called himself a 'workaholic' and he was but that's what he looked forward to everyday. Kim was his "right hand lady" and Charlie was his "right hand man". They worked well as a team and he loved and appreciated them all. And, "Cowboy Dog", the best dog ever. He loved Rick with a passion, and I know he will be grieving as well. Rick was a unique man and I am thankful for the many loving, happy memories and he will forever be in my heart.

Rick brought home Rosie Pinky Pie (Ava named her) after Gus had died.  Not sure where he picked her up!!  I did not want a Chi!  But, we fell in love with her.   She is a deer faced Chi.  When she curls up to sleep, she looks like a deer.  She has kept me from being lonely as she curls up under the covers and gets right beside you.  She is not your typical Yap Yap dog.  She did not bark the first year we had her.   When I talked with Rick last week he told me he needed to come visit Rosie because he missed her.   I will have a living memory of Rick! 

Well, you can tell I don't know much about loading pictures.  This is the one I wanted to load.  Rick was a sponsor of our team for our Alzheimer's walk for 13 years.  He would never "walk" with us but he was there afterwards for fun pictures.

We loved visiting with Rick and our Niece Vickey.  Rick was so much like Jim, a true cowboy.  A hard working man of few words.  We will miss him dearly.    Jim and Betty Shropshire.

Rick was part of our family for 25 years‼️ It is hard to imagine life without his presents. Rick was a man of few words, but when he did talk, you listened. He had a kind heart under that rough cowboy look! Our family has been through the loss of so many and Rick was always there to give a hug and help us out with food or what ever was needed! He hated funerals! I think because final goodbyes were just not a part of him! There would always be a tomorrow for Rick‼️ You just carry on somewhere else!  Whenever my mom would need anything, before she passed, Rick would make sure it was taken care of it‼️ Guess it was the ole Cowboy in him, you take care of the widowed and the elderly♥️ And that he did! If he didn’t know how to do something, he would find someone who did ‼️ He wasn’t perfect, but not to many of us are. I do know that he will be missed by so many friends and family who loved Rick, the true Cowboy he was‼️❤️‍🩹

To a friend who turned into a member of the family. Who gave me hell for almost going to a Willie Nelson concert in a ball cap and a t-shirt. And practically dragged me to the shop to put a cowboy hat on that now I can never really take off.  You may be gone but you will never be forgotten. Save me a seat up there and I’ll bring the Tito’s. 

Our family is heart broken my mother in law  Lynda has been Rick’s girlfriend  for the last year and our family has known him for 13 plus years. We have many great memories with this man, and have become very close over the last year, it is a huge shock and very devastating to our family to lose such a great man. We are praying for the rest of his family and friends and I am asking for prayers for Lynda and my family as we grieve the loss of this wonderful man.  

Known this man for 10 plus years taught me many things as a friend. Manly taught me the right and wrong ways to run a successful Buisness and because of him and what he taught me I am successful today. 
Thank you Rick for everything see you again soon when the cows come home.
