Robert Lee Bennett

Robert Lee Bennett, 79, of Willis Texas, passed away on July 29, 2021, after a long enduring battle with congestive heart disease. Even though a failing heart took him away from this world, his loving heart left a beacon of light for his family.

Robert Bennett is survived by his wife Cyndi Bennett and his children Shelly Cody, Kari Lambert and husband Russell, Teresa Bennett, Craig Bennett and wife Kim, Dawn Bolf and husband Jim, Ron Kessler and wife Sara, and Kami Treharn. He was a proud Papa to his grandchildren Ashli Caputo, Miranda McCulloch, Brandon Cody, Alexis Bennett, Destin Lambert, Seth Bennett, Cali Lambert, Emma Bennett, Chayne Treharn, Cameron Treharn, Caden Renee Treharn, Breanna Kessler, Kapp Kessler, Kase Kessler, his great grandchildren Trinity and Trenton McCulloch, Allana Helms, multiple beloved nieces and nephews, his first wife Sherry Bennett and stepmother Betty Bennett. He was preceded in death by his parents Barb and Charles Tiffin, Bernard Bennett, his sister Carolyn Gourley, his brother Jr. “Benny” Bennett, son Robert Lee, and son-in-law Rodger Cody.

Robert was born on December 10, 1941, in Fairmount, Illinois. He graduated from Jamaica High School in 1960, in Sidell, Illinois. He moved to Texas in 1969 to begin working at Lift-All. After a 39 year career he retired in 2008 as the Houston Regional Plant Manager to spend time with his wife Cyndi and enjoy his home on Lake Conroe. He was a simple man, a jokester with a wonderfully dry sense of humor that made everyone laugh around him. He was a loving husband, father and proud Papa.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 3, 2021, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Cashner Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 4, 2021, at 10:00am in Cashner Colonial Chapel with entombment following in Garden Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Craig Bennett, Seth Bennett, Brandon Cody, Troy Bennett, Tim Miller, Jace Parker and Ron Kessler.
