Robert Walter Malone Sr.

Robert Walter Malone of Spring, Texas died of Alzheimer’s disease on July 2, 2012. Robert was born April 15, 1922 in Corsicana, Texas to Walter and Octavine Malone. Robert was a charter member of Memorial Church of Christ in Houston, and later attended Longmire Rd. Church of Christ in Conroe. He was a member of the S.A.R. and S.C.V. After serving in the Army Air Corps in WWII, Robert began his 43 year long career in Banking at First City National Bank of Houston. Robert was preceded in death by his parents and eight brothers and sisters, son, Robert W. Malone Jr., and his loving wife Lillian Hagewood Malone. Robert is survived by his son: Paul Scott Malone, of Glen Rose, Texas; daughter Sidney Ann Hasty, of Cheyenne, Wyoming. Daughter-in-law Benny Dishman Malone of Spring, Texas; 3 grandsons, Ryan Malone and his wife Rachel, Scott Malone and Corey Hasty; 4 great grandsons: Jake, Sam, William and Aiden. The family would like to thank the staff of Autumn Grove Cottage in Spring, Tx. for their loving care of our Dad and Grandpa. The funeral services will be held at 11:00am Thursday at Metcalf Funeral Directors. The visitation will be 9:30am until the services begin. Interment will follow in Garden Park Cemetery.
