Roy Robert Haenelt II left this world to be with Our Lord on October, 26, 2020 in his home in Montgomery, Texas. Following the footsteps of his father Roy, Robert was dedicated to his family and always ready to help if someone needed help.
Roy Robert Haenelt II was born on December 8th, 1961 to Beverly June Hull and Roy R. Haenelt in Houston. Robert attended Spring Branch and Klein High school before going to Texas State University. Robert worked for his father’s company H&H Refractory and then Drill Quip where he was the project manager and organized refinery operations.
Robert had a large family of Houstonians and loved being part of back yard barbeques with his grandparents Weldon Joe Haenelt and Lillian Haenelt with many aunts and uncles and cousins in their large back yard in Houston. When Hurricane Carla hit Houston, Joe and Lillian stayed with his family and Robert loved to hear the stories and enjoyed the candy they snuck to him.
Robert loved to be at his Dad’s place on Lake Forest Falls in Conroe, Texas. He loved everything boats, fishing, hunting and riding a dirt bike in the woods. But most importantly, he loved being with family and his family loved being with him. He taught his sons and nephews Chase Eckert and Michael Cain how to fish at Paw Paw’s. He loved to swim at the island and splash his sisters. Robert loved NASCAR and thought Jimmy Johnson should be President.
Robert is preceded in death by his mother, Beverly Snavely, stepfather Edward Snavely and his grandparents Eddie Hull, Sarah Hull and Lillian and Weldon “Joe” Haenelt. He is survived by his father Roy Robert Haenelt, sisters Sally Cain of Dallas, Patricia Eckert of Georgetown and his two sons, Roy Robert III ( Trey) and brother Ryan Haenelt. He was so very proud of his sons and kept photos in his wallet to share with everyone he met.
Robert will forever be in our hearts.
Private family service will be held at a later date.
