Ruth Cunningham

Ruth Cunningham of Conroe, TX passed away peacefully on August 23, 2024 at the age of 99. Ruth was born on February 18, 1925 in Lawrence, Kansas. Ruth was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, whose kindness and warmth touched the hearts of many.

Ruth is preceded in death by her parents O.T. Davis (father) and Nina Murray Davis (mother) and her beloved husband of 64 years, Max Cunningham. Ruth is survived by her children Jerry Cunningham (Late wife Kathy) and Janie Roth, her grandson Chris Roth (Laurie), her great grandchildren Leanne Plouffe (Jacob), Ginny Roth, Justin Roth, and her great-great grandchild Cassidy Plouffe. As well as many friends and neighbors who will miss her dearly.

Ruth graduated from Lawrence Memorial High School in 1942. She went on to become a Southwestern Bell Telephone operator before eventually becoming a homemaker after marrying her late husband, Max. Ruth would become a very avid member of the church of St. Mark Lutheran, where she met many friends and neighbors as she remained unwavering in her spiritual devotion, where she carried her faith with grace and commitment throughout her journey.

A funeral service will be held on August 29, 2024 at 10:00 AM at St. Mark Lutheran Church. (2100 Tickner, Conroe, Texas 77303). Interment will be at 11:30 AM at Garden Park Cemetery at 801 Teas Road Conroe, Texas 77303 followed by a reception for family and friends at Saint Mark Lutheran Church.
