Sabine Weiser, born March 25, 1974, passed away on September 3, 2019 at the age of 45. I had the honor of meeting Sabine through Yoga classes held at Canopy. She was so kind . We chatted often about people we both knew on the swim team. She was a beautiful soul.

Patricio, Lukas and Emilia:
My deepest sympathies to you. Sabine will be greatly missed by us all. Her grace, quiet confidence and want to help others especially will be missed. In swimming with her at the Y Masters for many years she was the standard that helped me a novice improve his technique quite a bit. The Y group looked up to her deservedly so as she helped us all be better swimmers and people thru her grace and kindness.

Best Wishes, Braveheart!

My absolute favorite memory with Sabine was when we won Gold at Masters Nationals in the 200 medley relay in Omaha in 2012! It was such a fun meet, and for the four of us to be able to come together and put down an awesome relay was just the icing on the cake. That relay definitely goes down in WMST history as one of our top moments! I wish I had a picture of the 4 of us from that relay, but I only have one if 3 of us from a few years prior.

Sabina was a beautiful soul and will be sorely missed by myself and many others on WMST. I first met Sabina in 2006 when she started swimming with the team. She was not only my coach but a good friend. I have uploaded a picture of her and I at the NAT which is how I will remember her, always smiling.

I have such great memories of swimming with Sabine at the Shadowbend Y and I feel so fortunate to have gotten to know her a bit over the years. She also taught my son and husband better swimming technique and had a gift for coaching and patiently helping the swimmer to improve. Always with a smile and kindness. We will always remember her warm heart and giving nature and we send so much love and prayers to Patricio, Lukas, and Emilia.

I am deeply sorry for your loss. Although I didn't swim with Sabine or have the opportunity to enjoy her practices often (I'm one of those crazy early morning swimmers), the times I did I was always struck by her compassionate spirit and true love of the sport. I have communicated with Sabine over the last few years while she has struggled with her health, and I have prayed for her and her entire family. I wish you all my most sincere condolences and hope you know what a loss this is to the WMST family as well.

Most sincerely,
Lisa Umbach

Sabine is my favorite swim coach. Coach Sabine was very competent and also encouraging, a natural teacher.
I’ll always remember her with great fondness and appreciation.

I can remember one of the first times I worked out with the Woodlands Masters and as a former backstroke champion ( lightly used ) i was in the same lane as Sabine and she immediately pointed out some helpers on my technique.... I was pleasantly surprised and take those reminders of tight turns, charging the walls and dolphin kicking off the wall to heart to this day. God Bless and my condolences for the family and our our loss.... She will be greeting us all in swimmers heaven :)
